Second Annual Black Business Hall of Fame Set for August 9 in Tampa

TAMPA — The second annual Black Business Hall of Fame event will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at The Portico in downtown Tampa, honoring Black-owned businesses that have thrived for more than three decades.

Running from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., the event is hosted by Candy Lowe of the Black Business Bus Tour, and will highlight the theme “Perseverance & Strength.” Organizers say it’s a celebration of the resilience, longevity, and community impact of longtime Black-owned businesses in the Tampa Bay area.

The 2024 event featured honorees and community supporters from across the region and was praised for spotlighting Black business excellence. Organizers hope to build on that momentum in this year’s ceremony.
