Hillsborough Schools Seek Public Input on New Technical College Name
PLANT CITY — Hillsborough County Public Schools is asking the community to help name its new technical college opening this fall in Plant City.
Starting Monday, July 7 at 9 a.m., residents will be able to submit name recommendations through an online survey. The survey link will be posted on the district’s social media channels and will remain open until 5 p.m. on Friday, July 25.
The new school, located at 1690 E. Park Road near Plant City Stadium, will serve approximately 900 adult and high school students. Programs offered will include industrial electricity, welding, HVAC, building construction technology, and forklift certification.
The school board will review all submitted names and make a final decision during its August 26 meeting.
